What's the weather and climate in SMA?
In May of 2025...
Morning
Mornings in San Miguel de Allende tend to start off fresh and crisp, typically in the low-to-mid 60s°F (around 15–18°C). There’s usually plenty of sunshine early in the day, but you may feel a mild chill in the air if you’re out before 8 or 9 AM. A light sweater or shawl is a good idea if you plan on being outside during these early hours.
Daytime
By midday, temperatures rise into the mid-to-high 80s°F (around 27–31°C). The sun is strong in this part of Mexico—May is often one of the warmer and drier months—so be sure to stay hydrated and consider wearing sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen. It’s a great time to enjoy the outdoors, but you’ll want breathable, comfortable clothing to stay cool.
Evening & Night
Once the sun sets, the air begins to cool down, settling back into the mid-to-high 60s°F (around 18–20°C) overnight. The weather remains fairly mild, but it can feel surprisingly cool if you’ve spent the day in the warmer sun. A light jacket, cardigan, or shawl is usually enough to keep you comfortable while strolling through town or enjoying dinner al fresco.
Overall, you can expect predominantly sunny skies, warm afternoons, and pleasantly cool nights—ideal for a springtime celebration in San Miguel de Allende!
Are children allowed?
As much as we love your little ones, this will be an adult-only celebration. We hope this advanced notice means you’re able to let your hair down and celebrate with us on the day!
